State-of-the-Art Approach for Vaginal Prolapse

Robotic-assisted Laparoscopic Sacrocolpopexy
Robotic-assisted Laparoscopic SacrocolpopexyRobot assisted laparoscopic surgery represents a state of the art approach to the correction of vaginal prolapse. At UCLA, we use the latest model of da Vinci Robot system to surgically restore vaginal anatomy in patients with uterine or vault prolapse.

The da Vinci Robot provides high resolution, three dimensional visualization with enhanced wrist movement which allows the surgery to performed with superior precision. When compared to traditional open techniques, the patients who undergo robotic surgery experience less postoperative pain, shorter recovery time, less blood loss, and better cosmetic results without the need for large incision.
