Kidney Stone Treatment Center
Our Stone Treatment Center offers the latest treatments for kidney stones with success rates well above the national average.
- The Center offers state-of-the-art treatments including percutaneous nephrolithotomy or lithotripsy (laparascopic techniques to break up or remove a stone), and ureteroscopy (insertion of a thin scope into the urinary tract).
- The Center uses the latest advances in lithotripter intrarenal, intraureteral, and laparoscopic surgery.
- UCLA has a reputation for successful management of difficult stones, achieving an 89 percent stone-free rate after surgery, compared to the national average of 73 percent.
